Not sure this is the place to ask, but saw a discussion or comment on someone wanting to know about the phase of the moon during the Exodus???

Not sure it matters at this point. Studying the text of Torah there is no mention of new moons at all. In fact the term "new moon" doesn't show up until the books of Samuel (?). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Careful study of the Hebrew, considered in light of "the law of first mention" actually appears to dismiss the new moon as being used or even condoned by YHWH. Even in Deuteronomy YHWH warns against any form of seeking out the orbs of the heavens.

Could it be that since there is no mention of using the new moon or sun in the calculation of the calendar, that this might be the main reason it became considered a heretical book and thrown out of the Jewish canon??

EHYEHshua/Jesus quoted from Enoch so we know it was taught and considered "scripture".

Can anyone advise please?

Greeting and Shalom.

I've recently seen a discussion that is making it's rounds on the internet concerning false religion and something titled "Hebrew-ism."

Being new to the faith according to Torah, I have many questions and I figured this would be a good place to get the opinions of others.

I'll start with the question of; "Where in the Torah can I find information that specifies what phase of the moon the Exodus occurred"? If I'm not mistaken, it was at the beginning of the Exodus that the Hebrew calender began? So how can I know that I'm honoring the correct Shabbat and not some twisted version ha satan has given us to honor?

In His name
